Position Details

Job Title: Chief Human Resource & Career Planning Officer
Vacancies: 01
Contract Term: 3 years (extendable once based on performance; age not exceeding 65 years)

Job Responsibilities

The Chief HR & Career Planning Officer will be responsible for leading the strategic HR initiatives aligned with MEPCO’s organizational vision. Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing organizational HR requirements based on long-term strategic goals and directives from the CEO and Board.
  • Reviewing MEPCO’s objectives and growth plans to ensure HR strategies support overall business performance.
  • Developing a three-year HR strategy and framework tailored to business needs.
  • Presenting and discussing HR concepts with senior management to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Defining changes in internal HR operating models to enhance strategy execution.
  • Overseeing manpower planning, training requirements, and executive talent management processes.
  • Leading succession planning and operationalizing strategic HR initiatives.
  • Managing change and transition processes to achieve HR strategic objectives effectively.
  • Continuously reviewing HR frameworks to ensure alignment with internal business requirements and external economic dynamics.

Qualification & Experience

  • Education: Master’s degree in Management Science, preferably with a specialization in Human Resources, from an HEC-recognized university (local or foreign).
  • Certifications: Additional HR certifications from reputable institutions, national or international, are highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant HR experience, including at least 5 years at a senior/executive level in large-scale private or government organizations.

Age Limit

  • Upper age limit is 60 years at the closing date of application.
  • No relaxation will be provided under any circumstances.

Salary & Benefits

  • MEPCO offers a market-based competitive salary package ranging from PKR 0.8 to 1 million per month, negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
  • Additional benefits, allowances, and executive facilities are provided as per MEPCO’s policies.
  • Annual performance appraisals will be conducted by the MEPCO Board of Directors.
  • This is a purely contractual, non-pensionable role, with no guarantee of permanent employment.
